Although Kane would be considered a hat-trick hero by scoring three in the Premier League, things are a bit different in Germany. In order to be considered a proper hat-trick, all three goals must be scored in the same half and without anyone scoring in between.

Manchester City star Erling Haaland was also denied a hat-trick on his debut for Borussia Dortmund in 2020. Although he scored three goals in the first half, Jadon Sancho struck in between and prevented it from being counted as a flawless hat-trick.
